The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  South central Moffat County in northwestern Colorado...
  North central Rio Blanco County in northwestern Colorado...

* Until 200 PM MDT.

* At 121 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 15 miles west of Meeker, or 45 miles southwest of
  Craig, moving east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  south central Moffat and north central Rio Blanco Counties,
  including the following locations... Axial.

This includes the following highways...
 Colorado 13 between mile markers 41 and 65.
 Colorado 64 between mile markers 56 and 64, and between mile markers
68 and 72.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

Heavy rainfall may hide this tornado. Do not wait to see or hear the
tornado. TAKE COVER NOW!

CENTRAL MOFFAT AND NORTH CENTRAL RIO BLANCO COUNTIES...

At 143 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Meeker, or 32 miles southwest of Craig, moving east
at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR SOUTH CENTRAL MOFFAT AND NORTH CENTRAL RIO
BLANCO COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 200 PM MDT...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer appears capable of producing a tornado.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However, gusty
winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.
