The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Franklin County in east central Kansas...

* Until 945 PM CDT.

* At 911 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 4 miles south of De Soto to 4 miles southwest of
  Wellsville to 5 miles southeast of Williamsburg, moving east at 35
  mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Ottawa, Wellsville, Centropolis, Pomona, Richmond, Williamsburg,
  Princeton, Lane, and Rantoul.

This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 168 and 198.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 AM CDT for east central

FOR FRANKLIN COUNTY...

At 925 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Lenexa to 5 miles north of Rantoul to 5 miles
north of Harris, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR FRANKLIN COUNTY IS
CANCELLED...

The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe
limits, and no longer pose an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.  However, gusty winds are
still possible with these thunderstorms.
