South central Irwin County in south central Georgia...
Northwestern Berrien County in south central Georgia...
East central Tift County in south central Georgia...
* Until 430 PM EDT.
* At 343 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Alapaha, or
10 miles northwest of Willacoochee, moving west at 10 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Tifton, Ocilla, Enigma, Alapaha, Phillipsburg, Unionville,
Vanceville, Tift Airport, Gladys, Glory, and Brookfield.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of natures leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

At 403 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Alapaha, or 11
miles south of Ocilla, moving west at 10 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, small
hail and gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.
