The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Calhoun County in south Texas...

* Until 200 PM CDT.

* At 134 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Port Lavaca to near Indianola to near Matagorda
  Island State Park, moving northeast at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Port Lavaca, Port Oconnor, Point Comfort, Alamo Beach, Olivia,
  Indianola, Magnolia Beach, Schicke Point, Port Alto, Matagorda
  Island State Park, and Long Mott.

This includes US Highway 87 between mile markers 838 and 840.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning
is one of natures leading killers. Remember, if you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
