The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Northeastern Cheyenne County in east central Colorado...
Kit Carson County in east central Colorado...
* Until 500 PM MDT.
* At 400 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles south of
Flagler, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated. A 67 mph eind gust was measured at the
Limon airport. This storm has a history of producing
accumulating hail.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northeastern Cheyenne and Kit Carson Counties in east central
Colorado, including the following locations... Arapahoe.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 400 and 450.
Highway 385 between mile markers 153 and 200.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
This thunderstorm will produce strong winds resulting in areas of
near zero visibility in blowing dirt. Use extreme caution if you must
travel and be alert for rapidly changing visibility.
This thunderstorm is producing accumulating hail, which will make
driving hazardous, similar to snow or ice. If you must travel, be
aware of rapidly changing road conditions.

At 410 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles south of
Seibert, moving east at 55 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.

damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to

extending from 6 miles north of Vona to 9 miles south of Bethune to
13 miles south of Stratton, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Two inch hail and 70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.

damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTHEASTERN CHEYENNE AND KIT
CARSON COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL COLORADO WILL EXPIRE AT 500 PM MDT...
The Severe Thunderstorm Warning that was previously in effect has
been reissued for Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties. Please refer to
that bulletin for the latest severe weather information.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM MDT for
east central Colorado.
To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
Goodland.
Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning still remains in effect for
Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties
