The National Weather Service in Gaylord has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Western Presque Isle County in northern Michigan...
  Southeastern Cheboygan County in northern Michigan...

* Until 330 PM EDT.

* At 224 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Vanderbilt,
  or 11 miles north of Gaylord, moving northeast at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will be near...
  Wolverine and Afton around 230 PM EDT.
  Onaway, Koehler Township, Tower, and Allis Township around 240 PM 
  EDT.
  Onaway State Park around 245 PM EDT.
  Ocqueoc and Black Lake around 250 PM EDT.
  Millersburg and Huron Beach around 255 PM EDT.
  P H Hoeft State Park and Forty Mile Point around 305 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Pigeon
River State Forest and Moltke Township.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

If on or near any inland lakes or rivers across Cheboygan and 
Presque Isle counties, get away from the water and move indoors or 
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles 
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close 
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now!  Do not 
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM EDT
FOR WESTERN PRESQUE ISLE AND SOUTHEASTERN CHEBOYGAN COUNTIES...

At 247 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Pickerel Lake,
or 15 miles southwest of Onaway, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

This severe storm will be near...
  Afton around 250 PM EDT.
  Onaway, Tower, and Allis Township around 255 PM EDT.
  Onaway State Park around 305 PM EDT.
  Ocqueoc and Black Lake around 310 PM EDT.
  Huron Beach around 315 PM EDT.
  Forty Mile Point around 330 PM EDT.

...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR WESTERN PRESQUE ISLE AND
SOUTHEASTERN CHEBOYGAN COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.  However, gusty winds are 
still possible from additional thunderstorm activity expe4cted to 
pass through eastern Presque Isle County.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
northern Michigan.
