Yavapai County in west central Arizona...
* Until 1115 PM MST.
* At 522 PM MST, National Weather Service Flagstaff Doppler radar
indicated heavy rainfall in the West Clear Creek drainage from
earlier thunderstorms. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and
underpasses.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Verde Lakes, Hanging Garden, Indian Maiden Falls and West Clear
Creek Wilderness.
This includes State Route 260 between mile markers 225 and 229.
This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds...
Clear Creek Group Campgrounds.
This includes the following swimming holes...
Bull Pen Day Use Area, West Clear Creek near the campground and
Indian Maiden Falls.
This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
Verde River near the confluence of West Clear Creek and West Clear
Creek.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Flooding of washes and creeks will occur, some dirt roads will become
muddy and impassable. Paved roads and underpasses could become
flooded as well.

been extended until 115 PM MST. Heavy rain in the upper West Clear
Creek drainage earlier Friday afternoon is likely still causing
high flows. Flash flooding is likely ongoing.
