The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Kimble County in west central Texas...
  Southwestern Mason County in west central Texas...

* Until 215 AM CDT.

* At 1112 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 
  1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen very quickly. Flash flooding is 
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Junction, Segovia, Yates Crossing, London, South Llano River State 
  Park, and Telegraph.

This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 449 and 477.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
Park Road 73 crossing South Llano River, US HWY 377 crossing South 
Llano River, RM 385 crossing Perdenales River, RM 385 crossing Falls 
Prong, US HWY 377 crossing 2 miles North of Telegraph, FM 2169 
crossing Johnson Fork Creek, CR 150 crossing South Llano River, Mill 
Creek crossing Mill Creek, FM 2169 crossing Johnson Fork Creek and 
FM 2169 crossing Johnson Fork Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are 
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded 
roads. Find an alternate route.

FOR CENTRAL KIMBLE AND SOUTHWESTERN MASON COUNTIES...

At 1147 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 
1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or 
expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

  State Park.
