...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM CDT SATURDAY...
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, Edwards, Kerr and Real.
* WHEN...Until 100 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows
over low-water crossings.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 859 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Up to 1
inch of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. Since there has been several areas that have
already seen 1 to 2 inches of rain in the past two days, this
additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some larger
streams and rivers may be running at slightly elevated flows
and could rise a few feet from this extra rain.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kerr Wildlife Management Area, Lost Maples State Natural
Area, Vance, Mountain Home, Prade Ranch and Devils Sinkhole
State Natural Area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
