...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM CDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive 
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following 
  county, Bexar.

* WHEN...Until 100 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 950 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    San Antonio, Converse, Live Oak, San Antonio Int Airport,
    Stinson Municipal Airport, Leon Valley, Helotes, Kirby, Alamo
    Heights, Windcrest, Terrell Hills, Shavano Park, Hollywood
    Park, Olmos Park, China Grove, Lackland AFB, Sea World,
    Government Canyon State Natural Area, Castle Hills and
    Balcones Heights.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
