...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
counties, Fisher, Jones, Nolan and Taylor.
* WHEN...Until 200 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1101 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.75 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sweetwater, Rotan, Roby, Trent, Longworth, Sylvester,
Mccaulley, Neinda, Noodle, Hobbs, Busby, Capitola, Gannon,
The Intersection Of Us-180 And Ranch Road 126 and Us-180 Near
The Fisher-Scurry County Line.
- This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 249 and 265.
This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
SH 70 crossing The Draw Southeast of Rotan, US 180 crossing 7
miles west of Roby, IH 20 frontage roads crossing Plum Creek,
FM 611 crossing 1 mile west of Rotan, FM 611 crossing 7 miles
west of Rotan, IH 20 frontage roads crossing Bitter Creek,
County Road 221 crossing Little Stink Creek, County Road 108
crossing Kldoogan Creek and CO Rd. 444 crossing Noodle Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
