...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following 
  counties, Brazoria and Galveston.

* WHEN...Until 630 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 322 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor
    drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory
    area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.

    Galveston Causeway, Galveston Island West End, Texas City, La
    Marque, Hitchcock, Galveston Pier 21, Bayou Vista, Jamaica
    Beach, Tiki Island, Galveston State Park, Scholes Field,
    Offatts Bayou, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, Galveston Island
    East End, Pelican Island, The Strand, Galveston Pleasure
    Pier, San Luis Pass and Bolivar Peninsula.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
