...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Mason County, Kentucky, and western Lewis County, Kentucky.
* WHEN...Until 700 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 336 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1
inch are possible.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Mays Lick, Lewisburg, Maysville, Washington, Tollesboro,
Orangeburg, Somo, Fleming-Mason Airport, Rectorville, Helena,
Epworth, Trinity, Murphysville, Ribolt and Peed.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
