...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM CDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of North Mississippi, including the following
county, DeSoto.
* WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 526 PM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in
the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 1 and 1.5
inches of rain have fallen with additional heavy rainfall
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Southaven, Olive Branch, Horn Lake, Hernando, Lewisburg,
Bright, Cedarview, Jago, Nesbit, Alphaba, Plum Point,
Cockrum, Alden, Fairhaven, Love, Robinson Gin, Miller and
Handy Corner.

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
