...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest Missouri, including the following
counties, Barry and Lawrence.
* WHEN...Until 300 PM CDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 858 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Monett, Aurora, Cassville, Marionville, Pierce City, Purdy,
Seligman, Exeter, Wheaton, Verona, Washburn, Shell Knob,
Butterfield, Golden, Emerald Beach, Eagle Rock, Pioneer,
Freistatt, Chain-O-Lakes, Arrow Point, Mcdowell, Pleasant
Ridge, Jenkins, Madry, Wayne, Ridgley, Wheelerville, Table
Rock Lake and Roaring River State Park.

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
