...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1130 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following 
  county, Cherokee and southwest Missouri, including the following 
  counties, Jasper and Newton.

* WHEN...Until 1130 AM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 528 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Joplin, Carthage, Neosho, Baxter Springs, Columbus, Webb
    City, Carl Junction, Galena, Oronogo, Seneca, Granby,
    Carterville, Duquesne, Sarcoxie, Duenweg, Diamond, Leawood,
    Silver Creek, Fairview, Shoal Creek Drive, Saginaw, Treece,
    Loma Linda, Airport Drive, Lowell, Fidelity, Newtonia,
    Stella, Redings Mill, Wentworth, Stark City, Avilla, Grand
    Falls Plaza, La Russell, Brooklyn Heights, Shoal Creek
    Estates, Reeds, Ritchey, Dennis Acres and Cliff Village.

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
