* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Lower Keys in Monroe in Florida...
* WHEN...Until 900 AM EST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 704 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Key West, Big Coppitt Key, Boca Chica, Boca Chica Channel Bridge,
Shark Key, Geiger Key, Saddlebunch Keys, Bay Point, Key Haven and
Sugarloaf Key.
- This includes US 1 between mile markers 0 and 8.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 11 AM EST this morning for a
portion of South Florida, including the following area, Florida Keys
in Monroe.
The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a
threat. However, water levels may take some time to recede as we
approach high tide. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.
