* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 502 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Nebraska City, Clarinda, Auburn, Shenandoah, Hamburg, Sidney,
Humboldt, Peru, Farragut, Johnson, Cook, Riverton, Talmage,
College Springs, Coin, Shambaugh, Dunbar, Braddyville and Stella.

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 10 PM CDT this evening for portions
of southwest Iowa, including the following areas, Fremont and Page
and southeast Nebraska, including the following areas, Johnson,
Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee and Richardson.
The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a
threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.
