...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of east central Colorado, including the 
  following county, Kit Carson.

* WHEN...Until 1100 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 640 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    mainly rural areas of Northwestern Kit Carson County


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    mainly rural areas of Northwestern Kit Carson County

dangers of flooding.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 11 PM MDT this evening for a 
portion of east central Colorado, including the following area, Kit 
Carson.

The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a 
threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures. Additional 
flooding is expected further east of this area across southwest Yuma 
county and north central Kit Carson county
